We exist because the world broke a promise to its children.

Mission Statement

We fund the organizations that save lives

Vivant is a youth-led campaign to fill the pediatric HIV funding gap created by PEPFAR cuts. We raise money through art-philanthropy, major gifts, corporate partnerships, and public giving. 100% of program donations flow as restricted grants to established implementing partners delivering pediatric HIV treatment in Africa. We don't build clinics. We don't ship drugs. We fund the organizations that do — and we make sure every dollar is accounted for.

The 100% Model

Every cent funds programs. No exceptions.

All of Vivant's operating costs — staff, technology, marketing, events — are covered by a private group of founding supporters called The Vanguard. When you donate to Vivant, every cent funds programs. No exceptions. This is the same model used by charity:water, which has raised over $925 million with this approach.

Our Partners

Decades of experience in pediatric HIV

Vivant routes funds through established implementing partners with decades of experience in pediatric HIV. Our primary target partner is the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF), which operates in 19 countries, has supported over 15,000 sites, and has reached over 35 million pregnant women with services to prevent mother-to-child HIV transmission.

Theory of Change

How we create impact

01

Private funding replaces public failure

When governments abandon children, people step in.

02

Art and storytelling make the invisible visible

The crisis is hidden. We bring it into the light.

03

Youth-led movements create political will

Young people refuse to accept that suffering is inevitable.

Nonpartisan Bridge

Children dying of AIDS is not a partisan issue

PEPFAR was George W. Bush's signature initiative. HIV/AIDS has always been a progressive cause. Vivant exists in both spaces. We are not a political organization. We are a humanitarian one.
